The Company:
PayPal, a full subsidiary of eBay, is a world leader in online payments. PayPal Benelux is located in
Amsterdam, co-located with sister-companies Marktplaats and eBay Netherlands. Within PayPal, the department Merchants Services is responsible for further growth of the number of Beneluxweb shops accepting PayPal as a payment method on their website. For the top 100 web shops, this is done by Sales (specialized account management). The small and medium-sized web shops are acquired via indirect sales, also known as “Channels”. The most important channels for PayPal are Telesales (call center doing inbound and outbound calling, based in Dublin) and “Channel Partners”, e-Commerce service providers such as PSPs (Payment Service Providers, who provide ‘plug & play’ web checkout functionality to web shops), Shopping Cart Software Providers and Banks.
The Role:
Channel Partners:
Responsible for implementing model to track channel sales
Supports BD manager in improving the recently started ‘Channel Partnership’ program
Responsible for starting up channel sales analysis
Open Innovation:
Supports BD manager in open innovation projects
Telesales:
Responsible for coordination of Telesales (inbound & outbound) activity with Dublin Telesales manager, keep track of results and initiate actions to improve these
Responsible for giving out price quotes for specific webshops to Dublin Telesales agents, using pricing tools.
Responsible for setting up program to help small merchants become medium sized merchants
Supports BD manager in setting up ‘Share of wallet’ increase plan for larger merchants
Your Profile:
Fun & easygoing personality
Good interpersonal communication skills
Good command of English language, and preferably good command of Dutch
Strong analytical skills
Strong with excel
Basic knowledge of financials
Strong affinity with internet and e-Commerce
Ability to switch between different projects and tasks
Willingness to do the mix of recurring operational work (making lists, excel analyses) and more strategic tasks
Education: preferably Academic Level, Business Ecomics or equivalent
Worth knowing:
Period: 4 to 5 months, starting as soon as possible
Location: Amsterdam, close to “Amstel” train & metro-station
Excellent reimbursement
Minimally 32 hours per week
