Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated colleague who would like to work at a young and dynamic company specializing in the complete end-to-end delivery of high-impact JEE web-applications often with complex interfacing to legacy systems. Our staff consists of specialists who leverage modern methodologies (e.g. AGILE, SCRUM) and state-of-the-art technologies (like Java, GWT, Spring framework and more) to deliver the complete SDLC typically in 4-16 weeks, depending on complexity. Xaton BV is active with a range of clients in The Netherlands and plan to grow strategically over the coming period. At this moment we are looking for:
Software Developer
Your task
As a Java EE Architect / Techlead / Developer you will work closely with our clients in small teams (4-10) of specialists to develop web-applications. You will be responsible for the architecture and act as a coach and mentor to the developers. Technologies used are Java, GWT (Google Web Toolkit), Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, Ajax, SOAP and REST. Experience and/or interest in new and upcoming front-end technologies is also required.
Next to working in projects, you will also be engaged in a wide range of additional activities, such as working with a small team to prepare proposals for projects, investigate/prototype new technologies and methodologies, participate in training and conferences, etc. You will have close contact with Management regarding the technical direction of the company.
Your profile
You have completed either HBO (Higher Vocational Training) or University in Information Technology. You will have references to demonstrate your 5+ years of experience as a software developer / architect and will have outstanding presentation and communication skills, be an excellent listener, take initiative and responsibility, and accept only pixel-perfect quality. You are accurate and thorough, and want to fully understand exactly what you are developing. As an advantage, you will already be SUN certified as a Java developer or architect. You have excellent verbal and written skills in English and Dutch.
